Faux Marble Surfaces
Some of the most delightful surfaces are inspired by marble, and "marble like" stones. Urban Revivals can create faux marble, tortoise shell, and lapis lazuli surfaces. We use both decorative paint, concrete, and decoupage techniques.
Skimstone concrete can create the look of white marble, though without the veins and fine graining
Artfully applied craft papers, using decoupage techniques, can nearly perfectly simulate marble. Shown here sealed with non-yellowing polycrylic.
Before veining the marble, it is critical to pick a lighter and darker base color to form the basis of the faux stone.
This fantasy marble finish was picked for the bathroom of a teenager using her favorite colors on the sink.
A lightly veined faux green marble was applied to this ceiling, and sealed with matte varnish to ensure even reflectivity across the room.
